Installer insists on installing SQL Compact Edition even when it has already been manually installed.
The Release Notes for MemoryLifter 2.4.1 indicate as a known issue that:
"Sometime the automatic installation of SQL Compact Edition dependency does not work,
when you are behind a proxy server. To solve that problem install SQL CE 3.5 SP2 manually from the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5783 "
https://memorylifter.codeplex.com/releases/view/84286
However, it seems that the installer either cannot detect that a manually installed SQL CE is already present, or perhaps it does not even check.
Would it be possible to provide an installer that assumes that SQL CE is present, or explicitly ask whether the user wants this installation? This installer would be appropriate for those who know SQL CE is present, even if the installer cannot detect it.
Thank you, in advance.
